Following a successful inaugural edition in April 2026, Kerinci100 will be returns in 2027, bringing runners back to the majestic landscapes of Mount Kerinci, the roof of Sumatra for an even greater trail running experience.
As the opening race of the Volcano Trail Series 2027 2nd Edition, Kerinci100  is an expedition through one of Indonesia's most remarkable volcanic regions. Runners will traverse diverse terrain, from lush tea plantations and local villages to tropical rainforest, volcanic trails, and breathtaking mountain landscapes, all set against the backdrop of Mount Kerinci, Indonesia's highest volcano.

The race showcases the natural beauty and cultural richness of Kerinci, where every climb is rewarded with spectacular scenery and every descent reveals a new perspective of Sumatra's highlands. The 2027 edition features four race categories:
•    12K – An accessible introduction to trail running, perfect for beginners and anyone looking to experience the spirit of Kerinci100.
•    30K – A rewarding mountain trail experience, ideal for runners looking to take on a substantial challenge while enjoying the beauty of Kerinci.
•    70K – A true endurance adventure that combines challenging elevation, scenic forest trails, and iconic landscapes.
•    100K – The ultimate ultra-distance challenge, covering the most demanding sections of the Kerinci Highlands with long climbs, technical trails, and unforgettable volcanic scenery.
